I hate XP sometimes. We had some DNS issues today. The DNS entry for the mail server appeard to 'bounce'. My Windows ME machine timed out the DNS response and quickly caught up. I eventually had to reboot the XP machine to stop it remembering the problems it had.

Though it was only Pegasus which had the problem, which I don't understand.

I went to bed early last night with my stomach unhappy with me. Though why I went to bed I don't know as I kept getting up to sit on the toilet.

I seem to be ok this morning, though I got up at about 5:30 am unable to sleep.

I'm also somewhat irritated as my current setup doesn't let me easily talk to several MUSH's I use. I can get to a few places, but with others, the client (MUSHclient) tells me it's connected, and sometimes I even get one line of text from the other end. But that's it.

Perhaps it's due to our very, very crappy link out into the world (33%+ packet loss, 4 second average ping times). Whatever it is, it's annoying.

Ok. So I set up our home network a day or so ago. It's been working perfectly.

This morning, my ex can't connect to the internet, despite the main machine being dialled in and all. All the machines can ping each other...hmm...

Ok...so why did the LAN card lose it's settings?

I dunno.

Sheesh.
